Introduction:

The optical fiber connector is an indispensable passive component in the optical fiber communication system, mainly used to realize the non-permanent precise docking between the end faces of the equipment, between the equipment and the instrument, between the equipment and the optical fiber, and between the optical fiber and the optical fiber. The optical energy output from the transmitting fiber is maximally coupled into the receiving fiber. Most fiber optic connectors consist of three parts: two mating plugs (ferrules) and a coupling sleeve. The ceramic ferrule manufacturing process is divided into two parts, blank manufacturing and precision machining. Firstly, Nano zirconia powder material, with yttrium-stabilized treatment, is injection molding in the special mold after granulating. And then it is sintered to be blank at a high temperature. Secondly, the blank is processed through a series of precision grinding to achieve sub-micron precision. Thus we can obtain a ceramic ferrule with good rigidity and high precision.

 

To ensure the precision of the workpiece and for the volume and quality of the workpiece are relatively small, one-mold multi-cavity is an excellent way to improve production efficiency and increase economic efficiency Our company's ceramic ferrule mold adopts 1-mold 12-cavitiess, which replaces the previous 1-mold 8- cavities and 1-mold 6-cavities. With 1-mold 12-cores, the production efficiency is improved many times. According to the actual operation feedback of Zhongke workshop, the original 1-mold 8- cavities mold takes 17 hours to make 4 frame materials, and the 3-input 3-output cooling system needs 12 seconds to cool. With our 1-mold 12-cavities mold only takes 7 hours, the cooling system just need 8 seconds to cool. If using our company's 6-input 6-output cooling system only takes 5 seconds to cool. And the mold highly suitable to zirconia materials. Whether domestic zirconia or imported zirconia material, the ceramic ferrules produced by our ceramic core insert die have very good stability, high consistency and high precision.
