Silicon nitride itself possesses lubricity and wear resistance, is crystalline, and exhibits oxidation resistance at high temperatures. Silicon nitride ceramics can withstand thermal shocks and, when heated to over 1000°C in air and rapidly cooled and reheated, will not shatter. Due to its excellent performance, silicon nitride ceramics are suitable for manufacturing bearings, turbine blades, mechanical seal piston shafts, piston rods, permanent molds, and other mechanical components.
The silicon nitride piston shaft is precisely matched with the tungsten steel first, second, and third-stage cylinders to meet the uniform requirements of tight to sliding fits. Each piston shaft and cylinder liner must be machined to size precision to ensure consistency.
